5 Stars Better songs than GH3
Guitar Hero 3, in my opinion has a better interface and better visuals than 2. 2, however, has much better songs. But both games are great and I would recommend them to anyone.
If you haven’t played this game, it’s basically like Dance Dance Revolution with a guitar and good music. It also offers skill ranges for all players. It’s a fun game to play at parties and it’s incredibly addictive. I highly recommend.
5 Stars Video Game maybe; but wow….
This shouldn’t fall under the category of Video “game”. It takes so much more hand/eye coordnation than the average video game. Watching the competitions is almost as much fun as being at a live concert. Beieve me, when the song is done, the players are sweating. So this is a great video game that gets the kids up off the couch and moving, even if they don’t know it!

Guitar Hero 2 was the best Guitar Hero made so far. If you only own GH3 you have to try this one.

I love Guitar Hero Games, and I have been a fan ever since I got GH3 for Christmas. I recently bought GH2 for XBOX 360 (I have an XBOX 360 now), and I love it even better. Now here are the characters:
JOHNNY NAPALM: My favorite character. He’s in his 20s and he has a mohawk. It’s awesome just to see him rock out on stage.

A nice addition of songs for the game, although I would have preferred at least another 10 songs to make it really worth while. You can go through the 20 really fast.
5 Stars GOOD GAME
Works just like Rock Band 1 (Wii). Has different songs and most are more challenging than the game that came with the equipment. Overall, I really liked it.
4 Stars It’ll do until Rock Band 2 comes out
If you have played all the songs on Rock Band on the Wii this will hopefully hold you over until RB 2 comes out.
The songs are ok, not as awesome as the first Rock Band, it seems like a lot of leftovers from the original Rock Band, as bands represented on that disk make it here with some of their lesser known songs.
The songs on this are definitely harder than Rock Band and I found myself getting stuck on songs that are considered “First Stage”. I had a total blast playing through such songs as “All the Small Things”, “The Kill”, and “Teenage Lobotomy”.
All in all I would recommend this to those who have played through the original Rock Band and are waiting until the sequel comes out.
Hopefully that version will offer downloadable content as I can see that Harmonix offers a ton of great songs online that I would love love love to play on Rock Band if only I could.
C’mon Harmonix! Don’t let Wii owners down!
2 Stars No value for the price
Since we love Rock Band, we were really excited to add some songs. We finished the whole track pack, however, in one afternoon. And that included a break for pizza! For almost as much as the original game, this is definitely not worth the price we paid. My friends considered returning it to WalMart (not sure you can return opened package).
The main complaint we have with Rock Band is that a lot of us “kids” don’t know the songs. The Track Pack was even worse. I love “Interstate Love Song”, and “More Than a Feeling”, and my friends are crazy about “All The Small Things”, but otherwise, more obscure songs, even when we know the artist (Police, Smashing Pumpkins). So, three useful songs, which will get old replaying them.

we bought track pack 1 because we wanted new songs to play with. it turned out that the songs weren’t so good and it would have been better if they included more chart topping rock selections. we’re now just playing with the original rock band game and we hope that rock band 2 for wii will have better songs.

4 Stars For parents if this is a gift
Bought this for my child as his “big” Christmas present. It arrived in a 4 foot box with only one piece of tape across the middle and the remainder of the top unsealed with a large enough gap to see what was inside. He was the one at the door when the package arrived and saw what it was. I have never had a problem with any of my Amazon deliveries in the past but feel so sad that I won’t have that exciting X-mas morning moment when he opens his #1 gift. My sister said she too ordered a gift from amazon for her husband and the tape on the box was so bad her cat (which is huge) was able to crawl into it. Although I have not used our own yet, reviewed it as a 4 because he has used it at a friends home.
5 Stars I am a drummer at heart
I got this for the whole family (36yr old Husband + 6yr old boy + 3yr old boy + 32yr old Me). This game is so much fun that I tend to hog it. The drums are my favorite! Even my husband the “Mr. Serious” loves to play. Thank you to the creators!
5 Stars Amazing!
I got this game for my dad (52) to entertain himself while he recovers from knee surgery, and so I could enjoy it when I come home from college. Turns out that the pain meds he is on make him a little (really) un-coordinated while playing, and he just gets frustrated, but he is really excited to play when he starts weaning off of the medication.
I was amazed to hear my mother, who normally hates video games, proclaim after playing a few songs: “ok, just one more, then I am going to bed.” She ended up stopping after 5 more songs.
It is a very fun game for most people and very fun to play with a large group. I have played the Xbox360 version, and this is very similar, the only difference being that you cannot customize what your character looks like. Other than that I cannot really find and other changes.

4 Stars Awesome game, very addictive
The game is absolutely sensational; its main drawback is that it is so addictive you might end up spending too much time playing it.
The only thing I would have liked (and the reason for which I gave it 4 stars) is a better choice of songs — I know copyright issues were probably important here, but there are so many songs that are much more popular than many of the included ones. This is partially solved by the extension packs (or the soon-to-be-released Rock Band 2, which is a different game but is compatible with Rock Band 1 hardware), but even on those the song selection is not better, it’s just that you have more to choose from.

It’s a great way to spend time with a group of people! We bought this for my father for a 50th Birthday gift and now whenever we come home to visit, instead of watching tv, we get a tour going instead and all play.
