Guitar Hero III Review – More Musical Madness

The original Guitar Hero was one of the most innovative music video games ever created. Guitar Hero II enhanced aspects from Guitar Hero, and Guitar Hero III improves elements from Guitar Hero II. The third edition of this game franchise (Guitar Hero III) is now available for the PlayStation 3, Nintendo Wii, PC, Mac, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 2.

There is laundry list of playable songs available in the game. The songs and bands playable in the game are amazing across the board. Some of the myriad of bands entail Nine Inch Nails, Metallica, Smashing Pumpkins, and Pearl Jam. A grand total of 71 songs are included in the game, and they are all engrossing. The game does emulate a similar formula that made the first two games brilliant. This includes rock music that is as old as thirty or forty years ago. A few flaws with the game are the lack of any songs from AC/DC and Led Zeppelin; however, fans of Slash will enjoy his music that is in the game. Hopefully, AC/DC and Led Zeppelin will make an appearance in Guitar Hero IV. Another drawback in this game is the absence of a create a guitar player mode. I would have expected something like that to be in the game, but it was missing in action. Read more

Guitar Hero III Legends Of Rock Review

December 8, 2008 · Filed Under Guitar Hero, Guitar Hero 3 · Comment

Guitar Hero III – Legends of Rock – What’s it Like Then?

Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock is a music video game developed by Neversoft and published by Activision and RedOctane. It’s the third major release in the Guitar Hero series of music video games, in which players use a special guitar-shaped game controller to simulate the playing of rock music.

This is one of the latest installments in the Guitar Hero series, bringing with it more music, a better interface, and a wireless guitar controller for the Wii. It is, as the name suggests a rocking game with a varied tracklist that will appeal to all, and of course it is also a music game that places the player in a band as the lead guitarist or rhythm guitarist or bassist as in co-op multiplayer. He or she “plays” famous (or not so famous) songs from the 70’s all the way to the modern day and this is available both individually and in bundles packaged with wireless controllers. Read more

Guitar Hero 3 Comparison

December 2, 2008 · Filed Under Guitar Hero 3 · Comment

Be a Guitar Legend at Guitar Hero 3

Guitar addicts, guitar player wannabe’s, and alike, get ready to turn the notch up a bit higher as the new addition to the whole Guitar Hero series amplifies its rock challenge. Guitar Hero 3 houses new beats to try out if the first two bored you just right. Be amazed with new sets to play and more songs that can be downloaded and tried out in reality.

Comparing the first Guitar Hero to the newest one, it was more simple in structure as you get to play some classics and songs that are guitar heavy following what the on-screen bar indicates. On Guitar Hero 3, you have to specifically press on the beat the song you chose is asking. It is by this way that you’ll be able to acquire and accumulate more and more points. On the other hand, if your miss out on the tune, you’ll be distracted by your own off tune cue. Read more

Guitar Hero 3 For XBOX 360 Review

December 1, 2008 · Filed Under Guitar Hero 3, Guitar Hero XBOX · Comment

Guitar Hero 3 Review – Guitar Hero 3 Xbox 360

Guitar Hero 3 xbox 360 is one of the best games I have ever played. The song selection surpasses the other two Guitar Heros. It has a song title for nearly every genre. It is neat how you can choose the level of experience. You can choose what difficulty level you want to play whether your a beginner (easy), medium, hard (hardcore) or an expert.

I also like it because you not only can play by yourself but you can face off in battle mode with a friend. “Through the Fire and Flames” by Dragonforce is one of the most challenging songs to play, your fingers will go crazy!! Like the other Guitar Hero games, Guitar Hero 3 xbox 360 also helps improve hand-eye coordination so you can perfect a motor skill while kicking it on a guitar. Read more
